Selections from The Fourth Wall, A Special Exhibition

Schoolhouse Gallery is pleased to announce The Cotuit Center for the Arts’ exhibition of photographs by Amy Arbus selected from her acclaimed series, The Fourth Wall. In addition, Ms. Arbus is the guest juror for the Center’s second international juried photography show: Seven Deadly Sins. From more than 350 submissions, Ms. Arbus chose 30 works that will be exhibited and featured in a printed exhibition catalog along with a statement from the photographer. Seven prizes totaling more than $3,000 will be awarded. Please join us.


Arbus is a native New Yorker known for portraits and her fashion feature, On the Street, which ran in The Village Voice from 1980-1990. Her photographs are in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art, The New York Public Library, The Morgan Library and Museum, and The National Theater in Norway. Amy Arbus’ images have been published in her five books and in periodicals such as New York Magazine, People, Aperture and The New York Times Magazine. She has had 36 one-person exhibitions around the world and is represented by The Schoolhouse Gallery.
