ARTWORKS IN THE EXHIBITION:
PROXIMATE/ July 3 – 20, 2020
PROXIMATE consists of focused groupings of works from a selection of our artists. Projects from Vicky Tomayko, Jen Bradley, Lauren Ewing, Stephanie Frank Sassoon, and Paul Stopforth are presented in depth. PROXIMATE employs the exhibition itself as a metaphor for the ways that language, communication, families, friendships, neighborhoods, communities, and networks are being reorganized, reconsidered, and re-recognized in today’s pandemic world. The show itself functions as a living ecosystem authored by all participants, focusing on the ways that signals are sent and messages received. The individual works of art are articulate to their own circumstances while also vibrating with each other visually and energetically, demonstrating how we are finding new ways to relate in uncertain times.
PROXIMATE includes work by Antonia DaSilva, Donald Florence, Jefferson Hayman, Kahn & Selesnick, Eunju Kang, Sebastian Li, Sarah Lutz, Jeannie Motherwell, Anna Poor, Frankie Rice and Richard Saja.
